Music In The Valley

The lovely neo-gothic St. John’s Church, Butler Road, Glyndon is the venue for the second season of a chamber music series, “Music in the Valley”.

The first concert will feature the highly acclaimed “Monument Piano Trio” including violinist Igor Youzefovich, cellist Dariusz Skoraczewski, and pianist Michael Sheppard, noted for their extraordinary talent, energy, and interpretive depth.

The Canticle Singers, a very popular all women’s choir, present a program of sacred to popular Christmas music, followed by a rousing holiday song fest for all, enhanced by the Canticles’ beautiful voices.

 February 14 at 5:30pm

The Maryland Boy Choir will appear in concert at St. John’s after a two year absence. In their 26 years other venues include Kennedy Center, Washington National Cathedral, and The White House. Do not miss this very special group.

May 2009 at 5:30pm Date to be announced

On a Sunday in May BSO Concert Master Carneyis featured in a benefit concert with “Jonathan Carney and Friends” who will once again fill the church with a stunning virtuoso performance of music for strings and woodwinds.


A bountiful reception and wine bar, with the artists follows all concerts. It is a fine evening out.
