MUSIC AT ST. JOHN'S CHURCH

St. John's Parish places a high value on quality music as an integral part of worship. Under the leadership of Dr. James Anthony, Choirmaster & Organist, St. John's has employed a professional quartet of singers to perform at each 10 a.m. service as well as at select extra services. Dr. Anthony, trained as an organist, has taught Music History and Literature at Towson University since 1971. In 1993 St. John's installed an outstanding 18 rank two manual and pedal, mechanical action organ built by the firm of Taylor and Boody in Staunton, Virginia. This instrument has not only enhanced our worship immeasurably, but has allowed us to establish a concert series of nationally known organists and other guest musician.
