SHROVE TUESDAY PANCAKE SUPPER

from 6 – 9 p.m.

Once again, it’s time for our Shrove Tuesday Pancake Supper. This year marks the 28th year for our Shrove Tuesday gathering!!! That’s a lotta pancakes!! Hope you can join us on Tuesday, February 16, 2010 from 6 to 9 p.m. We will have a delicious vegetarian table, and absolutely the most scrumptious pancakes and sausage! Our dessert table will feature several KING CAKES with SURPRISES inside of them! New this year - from 7:00 to 7:45 - we’ll have a BARBERSHOP QUARTET entertain us and we can join them in song, too, from old standards to “doo wop”! To give our Shrove Tuesday Pancake Team an idea of how many to expect, please sign-up on the sheets in the Parish Hall or call Sue in the office, (410) 833-5300. Baskets for a free-will offering will be available. Come, join the fun!

Join many others for great instruction from Hans Schuler Guerin and his wife, Beth, from the Schuler School of Fine Art in Baltimore.
Monday afternoon 4:30 – 6 p.m. Yoga
Parishioner and teacher, Dee Huddles stretches our minds and bodies...allows us to enter into a kind of meditation for our whole selves. Once you start coming, you’ll not want to stop. Yoga is a wonderful way to discipline one’s life as well as to gain physical well-being and spiritual awareness.

Tuesday Morning Bible Study
Tuesday mornings at 7:30 a.m. for an hour, in the library.
This is a group that has been meeting at St. John’s for years but welcomes new members gladly. We open and close with prayer and study books in the Bible together by reading and reflecting together. Currently we are reading the Wisdom of Solomon from the Apocrypha (the books of Holy Scripture found between the Old and New Testaments).
